Fort Myers, FL - The Southwest Florida Small Business Resource Network (SBRN) will host a networking and information session on Cloud Computing 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 17 at the New Holiday Inn, Fort Myers Airport at Town Center, 9931 Interstate Commerce Drive in Fort Myers. SBRN, a statewide organization, is sponsored by Florida Gulf Coast University’s Small Business Development Center.
Cloud computing is the new buzz word in the information technology world and refers to the process of delivering applications over the internet through various technologies. There are a number of legal, economic, and technological issues to consider when using cloud services. Advantages and disadvantages of cloud computing and what business owners should know to protect their company data will be discussed.
Darius Joseph, of Microware, Inc., will be the presenter for the session. Joseph is an IT consultant who focuses on technology solutions for small to medium size businesses.
The evening begins with the Resource Network’s monthly “Network After Five” social event where members and guests network and exchange ideas for growing their business.
Cost for SBRN members is $15 per person, which includes hors d’oeuvres. Guests and unaffiliated small business owners pay $20 per person.
